I’m Alex, a freelance fiction editor with a copyediting certificate from UC San Diego and additional developmental editing training through the Editorial Freelancers Association. I became an editor because I’m passionate about stories, and because at my core, I’m a reader first.

I still remember hiding a flashlight under my bed so I could stay up late and read the newest Harry Potter release without my parents knowing. That same love of disappearing into a fictional world is what inspires me to help authors create stories that captivate their readers.

When I’m not buried in a manuscript, you can find me hiking the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains or baking gluten-free treats for my two daughters.
